Dua'

i made it by using SAI Paint Tool :)

As Muhammad and his companion will also ask dua' between of them ~
"Pray for me , for His sake !"
This is the way to connect with Him.
Indeed this is the best gift ever , you can count on me !
We don't need those stuff we just need your dua' , dear fellow !
and we pray for blessings right ? :3

" He causes the night to enter in upon the day, and causes the day to enter in upon the night, and He has made subservient the sun and the moon, each one moves to an appointed time. This is Allah, your Lord; His is the kingdom. And those whom you call upon besides Him own not a straw. If you call on them, they hear not your call; and if they heard, they could not answer you. And on the day of Resurrection they will deny your associating them (with Allah). And none can inform thee like the All-Aware One. "

You are beautiful dear !

Just a simple cloth with a hijab and cover up your beauty .
Allah said in Surah An-Nur : 31

"And say to the faithful women to lower their gazes, and to guard their private parts, and not to display their adornment except what is apparent of it, and to extend their headcoverings (khimars) to cover their bosoms (jaybs), and not to display their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband's fathers, or their sons, or their husband's sons, or their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their womenfolk, or what their right hands rule (slaves), or the followers from the men who do not feel sexual desire, or the small children to whom the nakedness of women is not apparent, and not to strike their feet (on the ground) so as to make known what they hide of their adornments. And turn in repentance to God together, O you the faithful, in order that you are successful. "

So, cover your beauty because this is soo precious thing ever for every muslimah right ? ~

SMILE always :D

Ten Things We Waste

How much times that we had waste in our life??

Things that we waste:
  1. Our knowledge: Wasted by not taking action with it.
  2. Our Actions: Wasted by committing them without sincerity
  3. Our Wealth: Wasted by using on things that will not bring us ajr (reward from Allah). We waste our money, our status, our authority, on things which have no benefit in this life or in hereafter.
  4. Our Hearts: Wasted because they are empty from love of Allah, and the feeling of longing to go to Him, and a feeling of peace and contentment. In it's place, our hearts are filled with something or someone else.
  5. Our Bodies: Wasted because we don't use them in ibadah and service of Allah.
  6. Our Love: Our love emotional is misdirected, not towards Allah but towards something/someone else.
  7. Our Time: Wasted, not used properly , to compensate for that which has passed, by doing what is righteous to make up for past deeds.
  8. Our Intellect: Wasted on things that are not beneficial, that are detrimental to society and the individual, not in contemplation or reflection.
  9. Our Service: Wasted in service of someone who will not bring us closer to Allah, or benefit in this world.
  10. Our Zikr: Wasted, because it does not effect us or our hearts.

~For us to ponder...Let's refresh our iman. Islah nafsaka wad'u ghairuka!

It brings back memories...

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful.

My dear friends, it’s the end of the month again. And it’s my turn to share something with the people I cherished -- each and every one of you who is the princesses of the 15th Generations of MATRI.

SO, for this entry, I think this is QUITE special, because I think I’m actually trying to share some of my own feelings. Maybe you’ll think that it’s normal, but, well… for me it’s not. You can say that it’s something rare for me to do :)

Okay!

What is the most recent event that concerns all of us?

Ting ting ting!!!

Correct!

It’s the annual PLM Gathering that was held on January 23rd at MATRI.
Now, who attended the anticipated gathering??
I’m sure some of us excitedly attended the gathering and pretty much enjoyed it, no?
Well, I didn’t go.
I repeat…
I DIDN’T GO TO THE PLM GATHERING THAT PEOPLE KEEP ON TALKING ABOUT.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m neither getting angry nor in a bad mood. I’m simply stating the facts.

I was casually viewing the ‿♡ 15th Generation (SAHIBAH MATRI) ‿♡ group on Facebook, and there were some pictures uploaded by those who went to the PLM Gathering recently.

You guys ate together sharing a single talam, in the Dining Hall that left us with lots of unforgettable memories…
And I remembered that it’s been a long time since I ate like that too.

You guys took pictures in the beloved musolla
And I suddenly missed the place that taught all of us lots of things. There we all sat and recited the Quran every night after the Maghrib prayer, we sat for Hafazan session every Thursday evening, and we listened for the weekly Tazkirah delivered by the male students a.k.a Sahabat/Putera.

It really brought back memories, and I would say I could even go all teary just by simply looking at the pictures of you guys.
What I really wanted to say is that I really wish I was there, HONESTLY.
It wasn’t my intention not to be there during the gathering. I have reasons that made me unable to go.
I wish I can be with you guys, and enjoy as much as all of you did.
I also wish that everyone was there, not just some of us.
I pray that all of us will be friends forever, for God’s sake Insha Allah, no matter how far we’re separated.
I love you guys, from the bottom of my heart.

May our friendship be in the name of Allah and blessed always...

A little bit of my thoughts…

Sometimes I thought to myself…Why didn’t I join the JDK? Why didn’t I join the KIBAR at MATRI after SPM? Why didn’t I join the PLM Gathering? Why didn’t I join the programs that HALUAN held?

There were always reasons that made me unable to attend most of the programs..Honestly, I’m really sad. But I try to accept it, redha…I know that there’s a reasons behind everything that happens. I know that Allah knows best. I try to console myself, even though it’s hard to accept. I can only keep my sad feelings to myself. I really, really miss all of you.

p/s: sorry for the late post...

Project to revive the Sunnah

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

For the muslim readers , I hope you will have a blessing day by Him . InsyaAllah .
Today's sharing is the Project to revive the Sunnah . Do know it these words ?
Actually I got it from the Fattabiouni's channel in youtube . First I watched the channel in the tv show which is Al-Hijrah tv channel . It was quite amazing and I amazed with the softly arabic-talking by Mohammed Alsaggaf with buckets of hadiths and verses of holy Quran while at the same time I attempted to find arabic videos to enhance my arabic language so that I can't vanished it easily and bear in my mind always . So Fattabiouni is the BEST choice ever ! But it showed up on 7pm every schooldays , so I didn't have a chance to watch it wholy . T.T

Fattabiouni means "so follow me" .

Mohammed Alsaggaf from Jeddah

The videos didn't has the english or malay subtitles . What a sad ! :( . But it's good for us who wanna learn arabic more . This is the BEST suggestion, you can count on it ! During this Awal Muharram , what about on making the hijra from the bads to goods ? From we were watching those videos or anything that didn't give us benefits or even pahala or it didn't increase our iman day after day , let's watch Fattabiouni ! I know it's hard , but we need to do rather than nothing , right ? :D Watch the others didn't mean can't but decrease the quantities, it's still can be watched if it isn't disobey His orders .

= SMILE :D
Before that , I would like you ( yes YOU !) to let SMILE touches your lips .
Can you ? I’m sure you can . :D

Take a SMILE at the beginning of everyday .

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
With your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...
(Lyric of Micheal Jackson- Smile)

Our day will becoming so meaningful to us . All problems can be banished by doing SMILING to family , friends , others and also unforgettable , to ourselves because peace begins with SMILE . Can you feel this magic ?

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Do not abuse anyone…Do not look down upon any good work, and when you speak to your brother, show him a cheerful face.” - Sunan of Abu-Dawood, Hadith 1889

SMILE IS A CHARITY . It is SUNNAH .

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Charity is prescribed for each descendant of Adam every day the sun rises." He was then asked: "From what do we give charity every day?" The Prophet answered: "The doors of goodness are many...enjoining good, forbidding evil, removing harm from the road, listening to the deaf, leading the blind, guiding one to the object of his need, hurrying with the strength of one's legs to one in sorrow who is asking for help, and supporting the feeble with the strength of one's arms--all of these are charity prescribed for you." He also said: "Your smile for your brother is charity." - Fiqh-us-Sunnah, Volume 3, Number 98

Shopping Therapy

Shopping lovers, hands up please!

Do you like shopping? I know I do. :D

But I'm still a student so there's not much that I can shop for, except staring at all the things in the shopping mall~

There are many things that people would want to buy: branded items like Gucci and Sembonia; latest gadgets like iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S2 and others. You name it.

So, ever heard of shopping therapy?

I came across this article and decided to share it :)

Girls and shopping; inseparable!
Let's cheer up with some funny shopping quotes as we shop for more little packages of happiness.

In many girls' lives, shopping is a hobby and a must for some. When we're up, we shop. When we're down, we shop even more! That's very true in my case, within this week I spend plentiful of time and money for shopping though I have other things to do (this is of course due to loads of stress). And most of the time I would buy those yummylicious chocs; an evil plan to increase my own body fat to get through this coming winter!
It's like through shopping, somehow we found a new focus and our moods get uplifted. What we can't solve in real life, we solve it through retail therapy. A new top in happy colours brighten us up. That irresistible pair of beautiful sandals is too hard to pass over. And our little babies (or for me; nieces/nephew) just need another cute orange hat to match her/his orange pair of little shoes.
You're not alone though. Girls just love to shop and these shopping quotes are for us!
Do share them with all your girlfriends who love to shop. Send your shopaholic friends to look at these usually funny and occasionally inspirational shopping quotes!

"I always say shopping is cheaper than a psychiatrist."
-- Tammy Faye Bakker

"I like my money right where I can see it: hanging in my closet."
-- Carrie from Sex and the City

"When women are depressed, they eat or go shopping. Men invade another country. It's a whole different way of thinking."
-- Elayne Boosler

"Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping."
-- Bo Derek

"On the one hand, shopping is dependable: You can do it alone, if you lose your heart to something that is wrong for you, you can return it; it's instant gratification and yet something you buy may well last for years."
-- Judith Krantz

"Shopping is a woman thing. It's a contact sport like football. Women enjoy the scrimmage, the noisy crowds, the danger of being trampled to death, and the ecstasy of the purchase."
-- Erma Bombeck

"I love shopping, especially food shopping!
-- Athirah et. al. 2010

But of course don't overdo it! cause it might be hazardous to your financial health. and don't go for shopping even when you know you can't simply afford to buy anything. It's a good reminder for me and you as not to overspend and wasting time. Just a little treat for yourself once a while will do.

Sleep Routine

Assalamu'alaikum everybody.

Hope that all of you're in the pink of health.. What about our iman? Let's refresh and upgrade.

Just wanna share something that we're doing everyday. SLEEP.

Yes, about sleep. How do we sleep every single night? In a proper way, following the sunnah? Or just lying down with plenty of books beside us?-gara2 buat assignment yg bertimbun.err

Let's check this out.

Productive Muslim Sleep Routine

If you’ve started waking up early and working in those early hours of the day as we recommend at ProductiveMuslim.com, you’ll find that it’s pretty hard to be consistent each and every day with this routine. And when you search for the reasons for this inconsistency, you’ll realise that it’s mainly because it’s hard to regulate your sleep; one day you sleep well, so you wake up early and can work hard. Other days, you don’t sleep so well and those early hours are pretty difficult to maintain.

Sleep, as any other activity we do as humans, can be optimized by planning well in advance and following a particular routine each night. You might think: “Dude, I just crash and sleep”. Well, that’s one way of doing it, but here’s another routine. Try it out and tell me if sleep doesn’t become a rewarding, spiritual and fulfilling experience for you after this.

The following sleep routine requires you to prepare for it at least 90 minutes BEFORE you actually sleep. And it’s basically dividing those 90 minutes into 3 parts:

  1. One third for Your Lord
  2. One third for Your Self
  3. One third for Your Sleep

1. One third for Your Lord:

This starts with you making wudhu', brushing your teeth, putting on nice clothes and perfume and praying Witr for Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) (Note: If you prefer to wake up before fajr to pray the night prayers then definitely go with that. However, if you can’t trust yourself to wake up that early, its better that you pray Witr Salah BEFORE you sleep). This is my favourite part of the sleep routine and favourite part of the day!

It’s such a calming experience after going through a long hard day, to stand in front of your Lord, recite His verses, supplicate to Him and ask Him of whatever you desire in this world and the Next. Do this for a couple of nights and you wouldn’t want to give up doing it! In fact, throughout your day, you’ll be anticipating this moment and looking forward to it!

2. One third for Your Self:

This is where you prepare yourself for sleep by putting on your pyjamas, getting into bed and reading a good book for at least 30 minutes. If you’re like me, ideas and thoughts will keep popping into your head as you read, and you will want to save them for later. For these, I have a plain notebook and pen/pencil next to me to scribble anything (and I mean anything) that pops in my head! You’ll be surprised how many great ideas originate from these 30 minutes.

Alternatively, instead of reading, you may spend these 30 minutes brainstorming on a plain notebook any ideas, plans, and projects you have in mind. You don’t have to come up with the ‘perfect’ idea/solution, but simply brainstorm as much as you can then literally “sleep on it” (as the saying goes). In the morning, you’ll be surprised at what your sub-conscious mind brings forth for you.

3. One third for Your Sleep:

I’ve said that this is a third for your sleep, but truly this is a third for your Lord to bless your sleep, and basically this involves going through the duas and verses that one should recite before sleeping as per the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). These include reciting Surah Al-Mulk and Surah Al-Sajdah and other supplications recommended before sleeping. For me, this last part of the routine is like the cherry on top of the cake! Nothing fills you with more tranquility than to sleep having uttered the words of Allah.

So there you have it, the Productive Muslim routine for Sleep. You may think it’s lengthy, but there has been no day that I’ve followed it, except that I’ve slept peacefully and woken up peacefully.

Hope it works well for you and that you have a productive sleep – Sweet dreams!

Spirit of Eidul-Fitr

First of all, I'm SO sorry for the late post. Something came up and I couldn't make the post in time.

Now, it seems we have come to the end of the Holy month and Eidulfitri is catching up with us.

So, what is your spirit of Hari Raya? and what kind of spirit that we SHOULD have?

Let's read, pause, and ponder..

SPIRIT OF EIDUL-FITR

We are celebrating Eid Al-Fitr today. This day culminates a month of fasting wherein the faithful spent their time praying and beseeching God for forgiveness and mercy. For many, Ramadan was not just an abstention from food and drink. Rather, it was an exercise in patience and discipline. Eid is the celebration for those who fasted and obeyed God's rules and teachings. It is for those who spent the month of Ramadan in complete devotion to Allah. Eid is a time when all get together to celebrate.
It is preceded by people shopping and looking around for gifts for their near and dear ones. It is a time when the bright lights from shops seems to signal us to enter and look and purchase. And very rightly so. Eid should be celebrated in a bright manner . We should see that this day and the following days be used to spread happiness by visiting our friends and relatives.
Gifts are exchanged during Eid by young and old alike. We also visit the elderly and the sick. Eid is a time where all kinds or festivities prevail. Many of us gormandize to make up for "lost food" during the month of Ramadan.
However, with all the going around we some time forget our lesser privileged brethren. We forget that there are many out there who have nothing to celebrate. There are those among our brothers and sisters for whom Eid day is just another ordinary day. There are those who open their cupboards on Eid day and find them bare. There are those who in hospitals who will go through a bleak and lonely day with no one visiting them. Friendless, deprived of company, they will have no one to offer solace or comfort. Let us therefore see to it that our deprived brethren welcome the day of Eid with warm and hope.
As we buy gifts and clothes for our children, let us earmark a small sum for those who cannot afford to buy. Also we should instill in our children a sense of compassion so that when they buy something they will also think of their unfortunate brethren. Let us teach them the art of giving. We should let them know that there are millions of children in Africa, Asia, Bosnia, Kosovo and elsewhere who don't have the basic necessities to make this day a different day.
We cannot divest ourselves from the misery of others. We cannot shrug it off saying that it does not concern us. Many people tend to be inward looking. They may at times donate money to charity and feel rightly it may seem so that they are doing their duty. However, the fact that if one seen to be with these people the perception of charity changes. There is a feeling of belonging when the recipient and giver meet.
In the West, people donate money and time to be with the underprivileged. Those who cannot offer material things give their time. We should also do this. We don't have to emulate the West because our own Islamic ideology teaches us to be kind and compassionate. Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that "I and the provider of the orphan will be together." And what greater prize is there for anyone of us than to be around our beloved prophet. All we need for that is compassion, sincerity and a feeling of brotherhood and understanding. And that will decide the quality of our life on earth and the hereafter.
Let us pray for the true spirit of Eid and I wish Eid Mubarak to all.

Ramadhan kareem!!

assalamualaikum warahmatullah..

by: Ameen Misran
While browsing through my old 4310 Acer notebook, I saw a picture of the Musolla of my ex-high school, MATRI. Then I looked at my desk calendar. Today is 27 Syaaban and I am 3 days away from Ramadan. Will I manage to enter the doors of Ramadan? Last year, our beloved Ustaz Asri of Rabbani passed away before entering Ramadan. What about me? I don’t know. I just don’t know.

Gazing at the picture brings me unforgettable memories when I was in high school. It has been almost four years since I’ve finished my studies at that school near the woods. I can assure myself, to me, MATRI is the best place to celebrate the festival of deeds during Ramadan. Comparing the places I’ve been in my life, no place can challenge the beauty of the people nurturing Ramadan. No place, not even IIUM Gombak.

In MATRI, from morning to midnight, the Musolla was so full of students reciting and praying. After Terawih prayer, many circles, big and small ones was making Tadarus Al-Quran. Finishing the Quran more than 3 times in one month was a norm in MATRI. But my past Ramadan, finishing it once was the maximum number for me and I was among the minorities. I feel peace and tranquillity seeing the students competing with each other and to some extend making contests to win who finishes the Quran first. Huh! Old memories.

In that picture, there was a picture of my former senior and former xifu, Ustaz Muhtad. A great guy who finished his studies in University Al-Azhar, Dumyati, Mesir. He was staff of MATRI teaching Arabic. He was also the warden of Huffaz Dormitory at that time.

I sunk deep in my thoughts. A memory took place five years ago went rolling in my head.

**********************

There I stood in the midst of people hearing an entertaining kulliyah by Ustaz Muhtad at Musolla MATRI. He recited a hadith in arabic;

The prophet once said, narrated Abu Huraira:

“Allah’s Apostle said: “Whoever establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah’s rewards (not for showing off), all his past sins will be forgiven.”

“Man qama ramadhana imanan wahtisaban, ghufiralahu ma taqaddam min zanbih”[1]

The flawless of his Arabic and attracting intonation when reciting this hadith was irresistible.

In his powerful speech “In order to attain full forgiveness from Allah; two prerequisites must be fulfilled.

The first is “qama ramadhana imanan”, which literally means “establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith” but can also be explained as establishes any deeds apart from praying throughout Ramadan such as reciting Quran, going through the Tafsir and etc.

The second requirement is; “wahtisaban” which literally means “hoping.” Ustaz Muhtad explained it as “hoping in suspense with full of anticipation and expectation for our deeds to be forgiven by Allah.”

Meaning that as slaves, the ultimate achievement in life is to get Rahmah from Allah. Without Rahmah, we will never enter Jannah. In order for us to accomplish His blessings, our hearts must be clean. Clean from what? From the dark spots of Sins.”

Without the two pre-requisites, can we manage to grab hold his forgiveness? It is up to Allah to do that. We just make the effort.”

His words really penetrated my heart. I lost focus of his lecture because I was really affected when he talked about Sins. I’ve done so many Sins in my life both intentionally and non-intentionally. I don’t care about the non-intentional Sins I’ve done because Allah will forgive it. But the my Sins I’ve done intentionally, with the knowledge that it is Haraam, will Allah forgive it?

Allah will forgive it but only if I follow his condition. If I still act ignorant and do nothing, will He forgive me? Allah will not magically forgive me!

“Are you ok Ameen?” asked Ammar Amran who was sitting beside me.

“Oh, I’m ok” I said.

“If you’re ok, why are you crying then?”

Ammar’s question gave me a shock. I’m crying? It has been a while since the last time I cried. I wiped out the tears with my hand.

“I’m not wearing my glasses; my eyes are watery under the light. Especially during Maghrib and Isya’ like this” I tried to hide my sadness from him.

The lecture my Ustaz Muhtad ended. The Kuliyyah Maghrib was then passed back to the MC (Master of ceremony) that is my best Sahabah who I grew up from I was a little kid, Hilal Asyraf.

Hilal Asyraf, he is in the top ten best speakers in my list of the best speakers in the world. At the age of 14 that is form two, he delivered a Kuliyyah Subh about what happened in the year “1924” taken from the rap song by SOA (Soldier of Allah). No one, during that Kuliyah Subh slept and it is a very rare thing to see. Although he was the same age as me, I never recognize him as on par with me. He is always three steps or more above me. My rival? No, I can’t cope up with his speed.

Hilal took the microphone from Ustaz Muhtad. He thanked him for the wonderful lecture. Then Hilal recited a hadith,

Allah’s Apostle said, “When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.” [Bukhari]

Then he continued “DO NOT MAKE ALLAH OPEN THE GATES OF HELL FOR YOU!” with his very strong and powerful voice, the voice of the commander of PBSM in 2004.

**********************

“DO NOT MAKE ALLAH OPEN THE GATES OF HELL FOR YOU!”

Yeah. Let this Ramadan be the best Ramadan ever!

Make this Ramadan different!

Let us GET READY TO RUMBLE and to combat our desires!
