Alhamdulillah, Allah izin kita bertemu lagi dengan Ramadhan yg mulia ni. Nak tahu? Bukan semua orang Allah izin memasuki bulan yg penuh dengan rahmat dan keberkatan ni. Cuba kita ingat dan jeling2 ke belakang, beberapa dan beberapa minggu sebelum ni sgt ramai orang yg Allah angkat untuk bertemuNya. Alhamdulillah, Allah izin untuk kita masuk lagi tahun ni. tapi, seperti mana yang Rasulullah kata, alangkah CELAKAnya orang yg keluar dari bulan Ramadhan tanpa mendapat keampunan dariNYA.
Sahabat2ku yg dikasihi, Ramadhan bukan sekadar sahur dan iftar, atau hanya solat tarawikh dan khatam Al-Quran, bukan juga bulan yang diakhiri dengan aidilfiri. Ramadhan adalah madrasah iman yang mendidik hati dan jiwa; dan darinya akan lahir jiwa yang bersih dan bertaqwa. InsyaAllah, kali nh nak share dengan kalian semua satu post dari blog

While browsing through my old 4310 Acer notebook, I saw a picture of the Musolla of my ex-high school, MATRI. Then I looked at my desk calendar. Today is 27 Syaaban and I am 3 days away from Ramadan. Will I manage to enter the doors of Ramadan? Last year, our beloved Ustaz Asri of Rabbani passed away before entering Ramadan. What about me? I don’t know. I just don’t know.Gazing at the picture brings me unforgettable memories when I was in high school. It has been almost four years since I’ve finished my studies at that school near the woods. I can assure myself, to me, MATRI is the best place to celebrate the festival of deeds during Ramadan. Comparing the places I’ve been in my life, no place can challenge the beauty of the people nurturing Ramadan. No place, not even IIUM Gombak.
In MATRI, from morning to midnight, the Musolla was so full of students reciting and praying. After Terawih prayer, many circles, big and small ones was making Tadarus Al-Quran. Finishing the Quran more than 3 times in one month was a norm in MATRI. But my past Ramadan, finishing it once was the maximum number for me and I was among the minorities. I feel peace and tranquillity seeing the students competing with each other and to some extend making contests to win who finishes the Quran first. Huh! Old memories.
In that picture, there was a picture of my former senior and former xifu, Ustaz Muhtad. A great guy who finished his studies in University Al-Azhar, Dumyati, Mesir. He was staff of MATRI teaching Arabic. He was also the warden of Huffaz Dormitory at that time.
I sunk deep in my thoughts. A memory took place five years ago went rolling in my head.

There I stood in the midst of people hearing an entertaining kulliyah by Ustaz Muhtad at Musolla MATRI. He recited a hadith in arabic;
The prophet once said, narrated Abu Huraira:
“Allah’s Apostle said: “Whoever establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah’s rewards (not for showing off), all his past sins will be forgiven.”
“Man qama ramadhana imanan wahtisaban, ghufiralahu ma taqaddam min zanbih”[1]
The flawless of his Arabic and attracting intonation when reciting this hadith was irresistible.
In his powerful speech “In order to attain full forgiveness from Allah; two prerequisites must be fulfilled.
The first is “qama ramadhana imanan”, which literally means “establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith” but can also be explained as establishes any deeds apart from praying throughout Ramadan such as reciting Quran, going through the Tafsir and etc.
The second requirement is; “wahtisaban” which literally means “hoping.” Ustaz Muhtad explained it as “hoping in suspense with full of anticipation and expectation for our deeds to be forgiven by Allah.”
Meaning that as slaves, the ultimate achievement in life is to get Rahmah from Allah. Without Rahmah, we will never enter Jannah. In order for us to accomplish His blessings, our hearts must be clean. Clean from what? From the dark spots of Sins.”
Without the two pre-requisites, can we manage to grab hold his forgiveness? It is up to Allah to do that. We just make the effort.”
His words really penetrated my heart. I lost focus of his lecture because I was really affected when he talked about Sins. I’ve done so many Sins in my life both intentionally and non-intentionally. I don’t care about the non-intentional Sins I’ve done because Allah will forgive it. But the my Sins I’ve done intentionally, with the knowledge that it is Haraam, will Allah forgive it?
Allah will forgive it but only if I follow his condition. If I still act ignorant and do nothing, will He forgive me? Allah will not magically forgive me!
“Are you ok Ameen?” asked Ammar Amran who was sitting beside me.
“Oh, I’m ok” I said.
“If you’re ok, why are you crying then?”
Ammar’s question gave me a shock. I’m crying? It has been a while since the last time I cried. I wiped out the tears with my hand.
“I’m not wearing my glasses; my eyes are watery under the light. Especially during Maghrib and Isya’ like this” I tried to hide my sadness from him.
The lecture my Ustaz Muhtad ended. The Kuliyyah Maghrib was then passed back to the MC (Master of ceremony) that is my best Sahabah who I grew up from I was a little kid, Hilal Asyraf.
Hilal Asyraf, he is in the top ten best speakers in my list of the best speakers in the world. At the age of 14 that is form two, he delivered a Kuliyyah Subh about what happened in the year “1924” taken from the rap song by SOA (Soldier of Allah). No one, during that Kuliyah Subh slept and it is a very rare thing to see. Although he was the same age as me, I never recognize him as on par with me. He is always three steps or more above me. My rival? No, I can’t cope up with his speed.
Hilal took the microphone from Ustaz Muhtad. He thanked him for the wonderful lecture. Then Hilal recited a hadith,
Allah’s Apostle said, “When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.” [Bukhari]
Then he continued “DO NOT MAKE ALLAH OPEN THE GATES OF HELL FOR YOU!” with his very strong and powerful voice, the voice of the commander of PBSM in 2004.

Yeah. Let this Ramadan be the best Ramadan ever!
